When people ask why we charge more for detailed window cleaning, it’s simple: the work is dramatically different.Standard window cleaning handles the basics — dust, pollen, fingerprints. But when your windows are covered in paint overspray, artillery fungus, hard water stains, or construction adhesive? That’s no longer cleaning — that’s restoration. It takes experience, time, and specialty tools. It’s a whole different level of labor. We learned this the hard way.
Shotgun/Artillery Fungus->

There was a homeowner who hired us for a standard inside-and-out window cleaning. We didn’t clearly explain what wasn’t included — and they expected a spotless, restored finish. Our technician ended up spending hours following them from window to window — about 90 panes in total — carefully scraping off paint specks, silicon, and fungus.
It was backbreaking work, and we had no choice but to honor it. But the truth is, it was a restoration job — not what they’d paid for, and not what we’d priced. That one experience taught us a powerful lesson about being clearer and more transparent upfront — for their sake and ours.
We also get a lot of questions about track cleaning — and for good reason. Cleaning out the gunk in sliding tracks and mechanisms is time-consuming. It’s not part of our standard service, but we do include a free full track cleaning once per year for customers on our quarterly window cleaning plan. For one-off jobs, track detailing is priced separately — just like restoration — because it simply takes more time.
One more thing:
Window restoration, while more expensive than a basic clean, is almost always cheaper than replacing the glass entirely. If you’re not sure which path is right, we’re happy to assess your windows and give it to you straight.
So whether you’re just looking for a fresh shine or need to bring your glass back from the brink, we’ll make sure you know exactly what’s involved. No surprises. No upsells. Just honest service and the right fit for your situation.
